Agaricus Blazei Murill is a medicinal mushroom originating from Brazil. It has a sweet taste with fragrance of almonds, low calorie content and is rich in mineral. It contains important fibers, vitamins and amino acids.¹ Agaricus blazei Murill was discovered in 1960 by a Japanese scientist near a small Brazilian village Piedade. According to legend, the elderly people in this region were less likely to suffer from serious diseases like critical diseases and protect cardiovascular health and allergies etc. Because of its alleged health effects, Agaricus Blazei Murill was brought to Japan for biomedical research and has been widely cultivated in Japan for medicinal purposes. It contains a high level of beta-glucans which are known for stimulating immune cells like Natural Killer cells, macrophages, dendritic cells and leukocytes.
